Go to start -> settings -> update & security -> activation. Doesn't give you any issues outside of the Store app in my experience neither. For some reason Windows itself never notifies you of Windows not being activated anymore.

If you've tried resetting the MS store app, checked that the services needed are running and you're logged in to your MS account and still can't download anything you probably don't have an activated copy of Windows 10/11. OK - facing this issue myself the past two days and going through MS's undermining support hell for naught I solved it.
