I have even watched PDF Form Creation tutorials that seem to say there are many different advanced number field properties that can be applied (Number: Decimal Places, Separator Style, Currency Symbol, Symbol Location, Negative Number Style, Percentage, Date, Time, Special: Zip Code, etc.), but when I'm using the Acrobat Pro DC program to create this form using the "Prepare Form" wizard, as the tutorials say to do, I can't find anything where you can change the text field to be a numbers field with those multiple number-formatting options. There are no Actions, Format, Validate or Calculate tabs (not sure why that is either because in the tutorial, they are shown as options too). Under Text Field Properties at the top of the box, there are only General, Appearance, Position and Options tabs.
Under the Text Field Properties/General/Filed Type, I chose Text but there are no numbers options after that in the Text dropdown. To do it manually, you can use the Number.toFixed () method: Number(5).toFixed(2) This will result in 5.00 - instead of the number, you would use the event.value: Number(event.value).toFixed(2) This would be done in the 'else' branch of your 'if' statement.
